Canada Chose Decline
Pierre is a loser
Baaa...Stroock's Books. We swipe at the air and drink our grog. For an hour or two last night it seemed as if the Tories might upset the Liberals. But no. Canada returned to form and elected a Liberal minority government. This result was expected but still we went to bed with bad feelings and a bitter taste...and watched an episode of Shoresy.
After a decade of Justin, Canada chose more of the same. Prime Minister Carney will lock-in Justin's achievements, such as they are. The Tories have lost four elections in a row to the liberals. We don't wanna hear about Trump. Elections are tough and politics ain't beanbag. Consider the circumstances under which GOP candidates have been elected, shall we? Reagan? W? Trump himself. So spare us, 'But Trump!' and cry more into your Labat's, you Tory losers. A competent campaign and a good Tory candidate could have overcome Trump's mouth. You gotta have more than 'I'm not Justin'. Pierre Poilievre joins Andrew Scheer and Erin O'Toole on the list of Tory losers. How do you like them apples, Pierre?
Update: OMG! Pierre lost his seat. How does one say 'total loser' in French?
That Mark Carney will form a minority government, and the NPD took it on the chin is cold comfort. So's enjoying Trump bashing Canada. In the end Justin stepping down and NDP leader Jasmeet Singh holding the government together till he got his pension worked. The left in Canada has well and truly succeeded. Canadians elected a globalist central banker who barely knows the country he now leads. The next few years will be hard years for Canada. Just remember Canadians, you voted for this.
We think the great Brian Lilley has the measure of things. Oh, and Ezra Levant and the rest of Rebel News, flee the country. Because Carney's government is going to try to lock you up - like the Freedom Truckers.*
Exit question: how long till Tim Carney brings back the Carbon Tax?
On to nicer things. War Night: Stories of the Great Nuclear War of 1975 is in the top 20 of its Amazon category, has 19 ratings and four reviews for a 4.8 star average.
DOGE report: We read through the first three chapters of World War 1990: Thatcher's War yesterday. Things are looking pretty good, actually. We had a few ideas as well and now kinda sorta know how the UDF is retaking Derry [Londonderry-Ed]. Shut up, Ed. You're from Liverpool. [You're in a bloody foul mood this morning, aren't you, luv?-Ed] We are. We are.
*Speaking of things that in the end, didn't matter. See also Pierre and his apple (see what we did up there?), and the Tory backbenchers removing leadership.
** 'You voted for this, Canada' will probably be a regular feature of this blog.
